Whilst in the hospital Emergency room Harry's spirit passes to the next cubicle where medics fight to save Pooley. A defibrillator shocks his body, several times to no effect. Suddenly, the watching Harry is jolted upwards and his spirit flies into the body of Pooley as they both die at the exact same time.He begins to recover, but as Pooley.Over several weeks of recovery he is visited by Sharon Copley, a Heroin using street prostitute, girlfriend of Pooley and mother to a child, Maisy. She believes Harry is Wayne Pooley, she has no reason to believe otherwise. Back at their home, a shabby terrace house in a run down area of town she cannot understand why her erstwhile lover will no longer engage with her. Gabriel is incensed that he has failed to kill Pooley and must try again.His attempts fail and fear drives Sharon into addiction. Harry spends weeks aiding her recovery and finally, Harry succumbs to her and she seduces him. She realises that Harry is not Wayne.
