Product Description

This stainless steel over-the-sink colander is built for cooks who want a strainer that actually fits their sink and keeps small ingredients where they belong. The 6-quart basket gives you plenty of room for a full pound of pasta or a batch of fresh greens, while the fine mesh catches everything from orzo to quinoa without letting it slip down the drain. The expandable rubber handles adjust from 14 to 22 inches, so whether you have a compact apartment sink or a wider farmhouse basin, this colander rests securely across the top for hands-free draining. No more holding a hot pot of spaghetti over the sink or chasing runaway peas around the basin. When you are done cooking, the handles fold in so the colander can sit inside your sink basin for storage. The whole thing goes right in the dishwasher when it needs cleaning, which means one less thing to scrub by hand. Use it for the obvious tasks like draining pasta and washing vegetables, but it works just as well for rinsing rice before cooking, sifting flour for baking, or straining homemade stock. The stable base with resting feet keeps it from tipping when loaded up, so you can step away while it drains without worrying about a mess. If you are tired of colanders that rust, wobble, or let your dinner escape through the holes, this one covers the basics without overcomplicating things
