Square Placemats Set of 6, 13.5 Inch Water Hyacinth Charger Plates for Square and Rectangular Tables, Handwoven Wicker Table Mats, Thick Natural Woven Place Mats for Boho Farmhouse Dining

About this item

• SQUARE, AND THAT IS THE POINT — 13.5 inch square mats sit flush on square and rectangular tables with no bare triangle of wood left at the corner of every setting. Almost every woven placemat sold is round; almost no dining table is.
• CORNERS MEET, SO MORE SEATS FIT — Because nothing curves away at the edges, square mats pack tighter down a run of table than round chargers of the same width. That matters most on a rectangular table with the leaf in.
• CHARGER SIZE AT 13.5 INCHES — A 10 to 11 inch dinner plate sits inside the mat with a ring of natural weave showing all the way around, so each setting is framed rather than merely covered. Smaller mats disappear under the plate.
• THICK ENOUGH TO WORK AS A TRIVET — Densely handwoven and firm, thicker than a woven mat photographs. A spare mat takes a hot serving dish without the heat reaching the table, and the set lies flat instead of curling.
• REAL HANDWOVEN WATER HYACINTH — Woven by hand in Vietnam from sun-dried water hyacinth stalks, a river plant that regrows in weeks, not plastic. Wipe with a damp cloth and air dry. Give them a day to air out after unboxing; the natural grass scent fades on its own.
