Product Description
She planned the guest list. Someone else wrote it. Six months after Sadie Cross walked out of her guest room, Nora Whitfield is hosting a dinner party. The table is set. The wine is open. The basement door is behind a bookshelf and a rug. Then three guests arrive who aren't on the list. A woman who introduces herself as a friend of Sadie's — and turns out to be Peter Voss's ex-wife. A contractor who poured the basement concrete seven years ago and has recently remembered something about the shape under the plastic sheeting. And a true-crime podcaster whose show covers missing persons in the Pacific Northwest. None of them know about the others. All of them were invited by Sadie. By dessert, the normal guests have left. By midnight, the conversations have intersected. By two a.m., the basement door is open and a sledgehammer is breaking through the floor Nora has been locking away for seven years. What they find underneath changes everything. Because the answer Nora has been dreading is not the answer she gets. The floor is empty. The truth is worse. Guest List is the second and final book in the Guest Room series. It can be read after Guest Room for the full experience. For readers of Freida McFadden, Mary Kubica, and Alice Feeney.
