Seymour Duncan Philip Sayce “Big Daddy” Stratocaster® Pickup Set - White - Electric Guitar Pickups (Set, Limited Edition)

About this item

• The Philip Sayce "Big Daddy" Stratocaster Pickup Set is a tonal tribute to the pickups found in one of Philip's favorite vintage guitars. Capturing all the power and character that '60s Strat pickups are known for, the Big Daddy set is a snapshot of how a great set of pickups sound after 60+ years of aging and countless high-intensity performances. After the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop replicated his coveted Mother set in 2025, Philip decided Big Daddy deserved the same treatment.
• The Custom Shop and engineering team matched the tone, feel, and output of Big Daddy's originals: a full-bodied neck, a “greasy” and expressive middle, and a bridge pickup voiced to cut without harshness. As Big Daddy's bridge pickup aged over decades, copper wire made direct contact with the Alnico 5 magnets, subtly smoothing the high end. A micro-capacitor soldered to the Custom Shop pickup replicates that effect, delivering the balanced treble response that defines this set.
• The first 630 sets are a limited-edition collectible: Custom Shop-aged to match the look of the originals, special packaging and Philip's signature pad-printed on the flatwork and a certificate of authenticity signed by both Philip Sayce and Seymour W. Duncan.
• Handmade in Santa Barbara, California: Seymour Duncan takes pride in designing and crafting our products to create the most amazing sound possible. That starts with providing an environment that attracts and retains our great team of engineers, product designers and craftsman, many of whom have been with the company for decades.
• Magnets: Alnico 5 - 75 pF Capacitor on the bridge - Cable: Waxed Cotton 1c
