Foundations of Creation: An Encyclopedia Examining the Scientific Case for Biblical Accuracy: Volume 4: Digging Up the Bible: Archaeology and God's Word

Product Description

Beneath the sands of the ancient world lies some of the most powerful evidence ever unearthed for the accuracy of the Bible — and in this exciting volume of Foundations of Creation, young readers get to go on the dig. From the clay tablets of Nuzi and Ebla that illuminate the world of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to the Merneptah Stele — the oldest known mention of Israel outside the Bible — the archaeological record again and again confirms what Scripture records. The Tel Dan Stele names the house of David. Hezekiah's tunnel still carries water beneath Jerusalem. The Pilate Stone, the Caiaphas ossuary, and the Pools of Siloam and Bethesda — once dismissed by skeptics as fictional — have all been found exactly where the Bible said they would be. The physician Luke, author of a Gospel and the book of Acts, is shown to be a meticulous historian who used the precise titles for the precise rulers in the precise cities. Even the ancient flood and creation stories of other cultures — like the Epic of Gilgamesh — are examined alongside Genesis, revealing that all the world's peoples remember the same great events, but only the Bible preserves the true account. The spade keeps proving the Scripture right.
