About this item
- Flip the game with hidden spells and mystery moments: The Mystery Expansion is the card game expansion adults and teens actually can not predict round to round. Each player gets one secret spell card at the start, kept face-down from opponents and activated anytime during play. Spell cards run separately from the main Payback deck, so the base game stays perfectly balanced while you use game night cards to hide, disrupt, and strike at the worst possible moment. Discard after use. Every round resets. The chaos does not.
- Surprise, disrupt, and change the whole game: No two Mystery spell cards do the same thing, and no one at the table knows what is coming until the moment it hits. Each card carries a unique one-time ability that players can drop at any point during the game. Mystery Event Cards go bigger, triggering chaos that affects every player at once and reshapes rounds nobody thought were at risk. Effects can stack with other Payback expansions, creating explosive, unpredictable situations every single session. The kind of competitive card game moments friends actually argue about.
- Mystery Events Create Unpredictable Chaos: The expansion includes Mystery Event Cards that trigger surprise twists no one can anticipate. An event might rescue a trailing player, flip a strong lead, or drop something hilariously chaotic into the middle of a heated round. Each activation reshapes the session on the spot, ensuring no two plays ever unfold the same way.
- Premium quality built for repeated play: Every Mystery Expansion card is made from durable high-quality cardstock designed to hold up through hundreds of shuffles and intense game night sessions. Compact enough to store inside your Payback box, drop in a bag, or take anywhere. A must for party card games, travel card games for adults, fun family game night collections, and really fun games that actually fit in a pocket.
- Expand your Payback universe: If predictable game nights are your problem, Mystery fixes that. This is not a filler for a stale adult card game rotation. It is 12 unique Mystery Expansion cards plugged straight into Payback Original. Compatible with all Payback expansions including Dark Wizard and NSFW editions. Collect all three and stack the chaos across every game night. Requires Payback Original to play. Base game not included.
