Loofah Back Scrubber for Shower, 32.3 in Extra Long, Dual Sided

About this item

• LONGER THAN MOST, AND THAT IS THE ENTIRE POINT - Most back scrubbers land around 27 to 31 inches. Every inch matters here, because the only thing you actually want out of one is the patch between your shoulder blades that your hands have never reached. The loofah side is 3.15 inches wide, so it covers real ground on each pass instead of sawing back and forth over the same strip.
• TWO FACES, TWO JOBS - One side is loofah: open, fibrous plant material, made for lifting dead skin. Flip it and the other side is smooth polyester, for a normal wash - or for the days your back does not want to be scrubbed. Same strap, same pass, you just choose which way round it goes. Braided loops at each end give you something solid to pull against.
• IT ARRIVES FLAT AND STIFF. THAT IS NOT THE PRODUCT - It ships compressed, so straight out of the bag it is thin, hard and thoroughly unimpressive. Put it in warm water for a few minutes. The loofah swells, softens and roughly doubles in body - and that is the thing you paid for. Judging a loofah dry is the single commonest mistake people make with it, and it is why some get written off before they are used once.
• IT GROWS THINGS IF YOU LET IT - AND MOST PEOPLE LET IT - Nobody in this category says this, so we will. Loofah spends its life wet. Balled up on a shower ledge, it will grow things. Rinse the soap out every single use. Squeeze the water out without twisting it into a rope. Hang it open where air actually moves - not folded, not flat on tile. If it smells, darkens in patches or feels slimy, it is finished. Bin it. It is a consumable.
• USE IT LIGHTLY - Loofah does the work; you do not need to lean on it. Two or three passes does more than one hard scrub. Keep it off broken, sunburned, inflamed or irritated skin, and if your back goes red or sore, ease off or turn it over to the polyester face. Adults.
