Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (CCTG) is a fractionated form of coconut oil produced by isolating the medium-chain fatty acids (C8 caprylic and C10 capric). This selective fractionation produces an exceptionally stable, lightweight and odourless emollient considered one of the finest cosmetic oils available. CCTG absorbs readily, leaving a dry, silky finish on the skin surface rather than an oily residue. These properties make it a popular emollient choice for premium face serums, light moisturisers and skin care products. As a carrier, CCTG dissolves oil-soluble cosmetic ingredients including vitamin E, retinol esters, vitamin A palmitate, coenzyme Q10 and essential oils. Its excellent stability also makes it a popular choice for vitamin-infused face and body oils. In formulation, CCTG functions as an emollient, carrier and texturiser.
