Adornville's Half Round wire is great for ring bands and many other uses. Half round wire will not roll when weaving and stays in place when wire wrapping ring bands and bracelets. Half round jump rings make great, unusual chains and chainmail. Twist half round wire for extra unique designs.
Adornville's Sterling contains 92.5% silver and is not plated or filled. Sterling is springier than fine silver and keeps its shape better. Sterling is better than fine silver for structural elements of pieces where holding shape and remaining rigid is important.
This wire is of a dead soft temper and should be handled carefully. Anneal as necessary. Temper or hardness is changeable by annealing, work hardening or heat-hardening. Fine silver does not respond to heat-hardening. The harder the metal is after finishing your design, the brighter a finish it will take
Order 2 or more and receive a continuous length of wire when available. The wire is coiled and packaged in a reuseable plastic bag.
