Product Description With Biokat’s Active Pearls you can naturally improve the odour binding process and the absorption capacity of your cat litter. And it’s all thanks to the highly effective activated carbon contained in the product. Our purely natural activated carbon is made from coconut shells, a renewable raw material. Activated carbon is a highly porous form of carbon with an enormous inner surface area. If you could unfold just 2 grams of activated carbon, it would reveal an almost unbelievable surface that would cover half a football pitch (2,000 square metres)! Due to special physical forces, odours are trapped in the activated carbon. Activated carbon has long been used for household purposes, for example in extractor hoods, in odour filters in fridges, in water filters, in shoe insoles etc. Furthermore, the functional granulate contained in Active Peals improves the clump-forming process, enabling you to use your usual cat litter for longer.
