Quickly check engine-related problems from a compatible smartphone, tablet or Windows computer with this compact Bluetooth 4.0 OBD2 scanner. Simply connect the adapter to the vehicle’s 16-pin OBDII port, open a compatible diagnostic application and access available engine diagnostic information wirelessly. The scanner supports all nine standard OBDII protocols, including SAE J1850 PWM, SAE J1850 VPW, ISO9141-2, ISO14230-4 KWP and ISO15765-4 CAN. Depending on the vehicle, ECU and application used, it can read and clear engine diagnostic trouble codes, turn off the check engine light after the problem has been repaired, check emissions readiness and display available live sensor data. Compatible applications may include Torque, Car Scanner ELM OBD2, inCarDoc, DashCommand, OBD Auto Doctor, OBD Fusion, ScanMaster-ELM, ScanTool.net and other ELM-compatible diagnostic software. Available functions and software compatibility vary by operating system, vehicle and application. The adapter operates from the vehicle’s OBDII port without a separate battery or charging cable.
