About
Brass insert nut sizes: The kit includes brass insert nuts in sizes M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, and M8. M2 size also accepts M2.5 inserts. Each nut has internal threads for screw mounting into 3D printed plastic parts.
Soldering iron tip compatibility: The iron tip fits standard 936 universal soldering iron tips. Heat transfers from the iron tip through the brass nut into the surrounding plastic.
Heat insertion method: The heated tip contacts the brass nut. Heat melts the plastic around the nut cavity. The nut presses into softened plastic and becomes fixed when cooled.
Tip and nut configurations: Available variants include EU Plug 1 set, US Plug 1 set, Only 1 set Nut, Only EU Iron Tip, and Only US Iron Tip.
Female-female head design: The tip uses a female-female head design with hand-twist knurled joints. Head joints can be disassembled when cooled to change between different thread sizes. End-face contact keeps the nut straight during insertion.
