IMPORTANT: The inner diameter of the opening as marked in the posted photos is 3mm, please measure the diameter of your sewing machine bobbin winder spindle and make sure that the diameter is equal or small than 3mm BEFORE you buy because when the diameter of your machine bobbin winder spindle is over 3mm, this spool can NOT fit into the spindle.
The additional spool pin is used for spools of thread that need to stand vertically.
Another use for the Additional Spool Pin is when you want to do twin needle sewing.
