Product Information

About this item

• Our Standard Pack contains two printing sessions with two 36X18 in sheets of cloth that can create 4 smaller prints (18in) by cutting the cloth in half or 2 full size prints (36in)
• Food Grade Cuttlefish ink allows you to Fillet and eat fish after!
• The cloth that was developed by us specifically for the Gyotaku process makes printing super easy! We are Fishermen not artists so we wanted to make a kit where no artistic ability was needed and created a printing press for people like us! No Artistic skills Required!
• Whole process takes 5-10 minuites and dries in 5 minutes in the sun!
• DIY TAXIDERMY ALTERNATIVE — Capture trophy fish in vivid detail without pricey mounts or long wait times; perfect for anglers, boat captains, charter services, and coastal home-décor lovers.
• FRAME-WORTHY COASTAL ART — Create one-of-a-kind wall décor for lake cabins, beach houses, man caves, offices, or fishing lodges; turns any catch into conversation-starting artwork
• AUTHENTIC GYOTAKU EXPERIENCE With our own twist to make the process way easier — Food-grade cuttlefish ink and traditional brush technique honor Japanese fish-printing heritage while producing gallery-quality art prints.
• Our goal was to make a printing press for the average person with no artistic ability to be able to print the fish they catch and we have done just that!
• UNFORGETTABLE GIFT IDEA — Unique Father’s Day, Christmas, birthday, or graduation gift for anglers, boaters, coastal artists, and outdoor enthusiasts; great tournament prize or wedding guest-book alternative.
• Here at Fishin' Prints we have taken the art of gyotaku, traditionally difficult in nature due to the thin, easily ripped rice paper, and sumi ink (which is actually made by burning oil, wood, or other toxic materials) and subbed these components out for a very forgiving, durable and user-friendly cloth specifically sourced for this process and all natural food grade cuttle fish ink (an ingredient used in squid ink pasta so its meant to be consumed!) so you can fillet and eat your fish after.
