About

Fits Linear HAE00002 and HAE00087 Safety Sensors: made for the Linear photo eye housing on LDO33, LDO50, LSO50, LCO75, LDCO800 and LDCO801 openers. Check your sensor part number first; LiftMaster and Chamberlain sensors take a different shield.
Door Will Not Close When the Sun Is Low: direct sunlight hitting the photo eye can make the opener reverse or refuse to close in the late afternoon or early morning. This cover is designed to hood the lens and keep the beam path shaded.
Try the Hand Shadow Test First: shade the sensor with your hand while someone presses close. If the door closes while shaded, sunlight is your problem and this shield is made for it. If it still stops, check sensor alignment and wiring instead.
Installs in Seconds, No Tools: loosen the wing nut, slide the shield over the sensor, retighten. UV resistant plastic made for years of outdoor sun, heat and rain.
4 Pairs (8 Shields) Per Order: every garage door uses two sensors, so one pair covers both sides of one door. Designed by a working garage door company that sees this problem every summer.

Product Description

Garage door refuses to close in the late afternoon, then works fine after dark. When the sun sits low and shines straight into the safety sensor, the photo eye cannot see its partner beam and the opener reverses or will not close. The OmniMart Sun Shield is designed to hood the lens so the beam path stays shaded. Compatibility: made for Linear HAE00002 and HAE00087 safety sensors used on LDO33, LDO50, LSO50, LCO75, LDCO800 and LDCO801 openers. LiftMaster and Chamberlain sensors use a different housing and need a different shield. The part number is on the back of the sensor. Hand shadow test: shade the sensor with your hand or a piece of cardboard while someone presses the close button. If the door closes while shaded, sunlight is the problem and this shield is made for it. If it still stops, look at sensor alignment or wiring instead. What you get: This order includes 4 Pairs (8 Shields). Garage doors always use two sensors, so one pair covers both sides of one door. Install in seconds: loosen the wing nut, slide the shield over the sensor, retighten. No tools, no drilling, no rewiring. UV resistant plastic made for years of outdoor sun, heat and rain. Designed by a working garage door company that sees sun blocked sensors every summer, and built to sit on the sensor for years without attention.
