About

These three ingredients are useful in soil mixes, repotting orchids or terrarium creation
Tree fern drains fast and is slow to decompose. While not usually used alone, it can be combined with other ingredients for a moist, yet not soggy soil mix
Charcoal has useful abilities in terrarium layers and soil mixes like odor reduction, increasing drainage, increasing oxygen to plant roots, and decreasing the weight of potting mixes
LECA never breaks down and can often be reused many times. Normally used in hydroponics, it is also very porous and is great for well draining soil mixes and soil replacements
For large orchids like Cattleyas, this mix of ingredients anchors the roots, allows for drainage and air circulation, and will last a long time
