About

Application: Combines adjustable temperature monitoring with a side gas or vacuum connection in compact laboratory assemblies.
Material: Made from Borosilicate 3.3 Glass for low thermal expansion, chemical resistance, and dependable reuse under normal laboratory conditions.
Precision Alignment: The compression cap and O-ring position the thermometer while the side hose barb provides a separate gas-flow path.
Compatibility: Includes one 14/20 Inner Joint and a serrated side hose barb for compatible tubing and matching 14/20 Outer Joint glassware.
Usage Notes: Tighten the thermometer seal only enough to hold the stem, secure the hose independently, and verify all connections before vacuum or gas service.

Product Description

This glass adapter with hose connection is similar to the thermometer adapter , but with an extra 8mm side hose connection for introducing gas or vacuum in the organic chemistry. have a standard taper ground male joint at one end while the other end is an open top compression cap ideal for fitting a plain stemmed thermometer into jointed glassware assemblies in organic chemistry. The Screwthread cap allows easy depth adjustment of thermometer. The ground glass joints allow the laboratory glassware to be assembled, leak-free, without stoppers. The 8mm hose connection introduces the gas or vacuum through the 6mm I. D. rubber or PTFE tubing. This laboratory glass thermometer adapter is made of high quality borosilicate glass 3. 3 having very low coefficients of thermal expansion for resistance to heat, and a very high resistance to chemical attack. Annealed at 800 degree Celsius , can be heated directly in an open flame and can withstand typical laboratory thermal variations in Chemistry processes like heating and cooling. During the organic chemistry glassware for performing fundamental organic laboratory activities , the glass adapter with thermometer opening is used frequently, especially in distillation or fractionation process.
