Pebeo Cerne Relief in metallic Imitation Lead, the reference shade for authentic stained-glass leading, sold here on a blister card: the same 20 ml tube (0.67 fl oz) of water-based relief outliner from the Vitrail range, with a fine nozzle applied straight from the tube, no brush. It draws the raised came lines that hold the Vitrail colors and flattens slightly as it dries to read like a real lead strip. Only the packaging differs; the outliner inside is identical.
Surfaces: made for glass and the materials that behave like it. Draw on window panes, mirrors, vases, lanterns, candle holders and glass ornaments, and on acetate, polyester film, plexiglass and acrylic sheet. Degrease every piece first with soapy water or alcohol so the relief line grips cleanly and keeps its edge. Decorative use only: decorated objects are not for practical use and not for food-contact surfaces.
How it works: draw the outline straight from the tube, let it dry at least 30 minutes, then fill each cell with Pebeo Vitrail colors by brush or dropper. It air-dries in a dust-free spot, touch-dry in about 2 hours and fully dry in around 10 hours by thickness, temperature and humidity. No oven, no baking. Wet paste and tools clean up with water, a dry line scrapes off with a blade, and the dry piece withstands glass cleaner and a light wash without soaking.
Who it is for: beginners starting their first stained-glass project, hobbyists, glass painters, mixed-media artists, and art teachers assembling class kits or DIY decorators building a gift set. The carded tube slips easily into a starter bundle with a few Vitrail colors. Use Imitation Lead to outline a first sun catcher, draw the came grid of a small Tiffany-style panel, or letter a name on a glass ornament for the holidays. A kitchen-table project as much as a studio one.
