METAL BOWL WITH SIGHT GLASS AND MANUAL DRAIN - Water and sludge separated from the air line collect in the bowl, and the sight glass lets you confirm the level without taking the bowl off. Bleed the collected water and debris from the manual drain at the base of the bowl, and drain before the level reaches the lower baffle. The metal bowl is the one to specify when supply pressure is over 150 PSI, or if harmful solvents are present in the air line.
ADJUSTABLE 0-150 PSI REGULATOR WITH GAUGE - Pull the adjustment knob down and away from the body to unlock it, set your outlet pressure, then push it back up to lock the setting against accidental change. The included 0-160 PSI gauge indicates the set outlet pressure. The regulator provides a 0-150 PSI adjustable output from supply pressures up to 250 PSI.
WALL-MOUNTABLE, MADE IN KOREA, 1-YEAR WARRANTY - The connecting bracket that joins the filter and regulator also mounts the unit to a wall or panel for a clean, stable installation. The 10 micron element is washable and reusable, with 2, 5, 20, and 40 micron grades available and replacement F400M-EL element kits sold separately. The PneumaticPlus SAU420-N04G-MEP is a modular air preparation assembly - an air filter and an air pressure regulator mounted together on a shared connecting bracket, delivered ready to install as one piece. Each component can be serviced or swapped on its own, which is the practical advantage of a modular assembly over a single-body unit. CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE. Match the port to the flow your tools draw - 1/4 inch NPT is rated 35 SCFM, 3/8 inch 72 SCFM, 1/2 inch 175 SCFM, and 3/4 inch 180 SCFM at 90 PSIG. This is the 1/2" NPT version at 175 SCFM. A polycarbonate bowl with a metal guard keeps the moisture level visible, and a metal bowl with a sight glass is the heavier-duty option. Pick an automatic drain where the unit sits overhead or behind a machine guard and a daily purge is easy to forget, and a manual drain where the bowl is within reach. This is the standard knob version; the T-handle version adds a hex-nut lock for mobile rigs. INSTALLATION. Per the PneumaticPlus instruction sheet, set the unit so airflow follows the IN-OUT direction marked by the arrow on the head, place it first in line ahead of any additional regulators or lubricators, keep it as close as practical to the tool being served, and mount it vertically in a downstream position. SERVICE AND CONTENTS. Filter element, bowl, regulator diaphragm, adjusting spring, and pressure gauge are all stocked service kits, so the assembly is maintained in place rather than replaced. The box holds the filter, the regulator, the connecting bracket that also serves as the wall mount, a 0-160 PSI gauge, and a 10 micron element. WHERE IT FITS. Specify the 20 series for flow with straightforward moisture and particulate removal. For work that needs finer filtration than 10 micron, step up to the SAU430 series. Specifications: 250 PSI maximum supply, 0-150 PSI regulation, 23-140 F, 175 SCFM at 90 PSIG.
