Product Information
About
ΔDwarf Clover (Trifolium repens) is a fine-leaved leguminous that forms a layer (5-10 cm), compact, deep green and virtually maintenance-free lawn. Thanks to the biological nitrogen fixation (about 150 kg N/ha/year) it enriches the soil, making the need for nitrogen fertilizers virtually nil. It is walkable and grows well in both full sun and moderate shade, even in short drought periods. It prefers mild climates and tolerates prolonged frosts (< -5 ° C).
A coating with CaCO₂ protects the seed from drought or nutritional deficiencies and creates a temporary barrier that retains moisture before germination. CaCO₂ gradually releases calcium, which helps balance the pH level of the soil.
Sowing (mid-March-June and late August-mid-October, soil ≥ 10 ° C): 3-4 g/m² when sowing, 5-10 g/m² when sowing late or pristine soil, at a depth of 0.5 cm. Lightly roll on and keep the bed constantly moist with 3-4 micro-irrigations per day for 10 days, then halve irrigation for another 10 days; germination in 7-10 days.
Care: Natural height 5-10 cm (1-2 cuts/year at 4-6 cm for a cutting result). Apply 25 g/m² PK fertilizer before sowing and, only on poor soil, repeat after 45 days. Irrigate only in prolonged drought. Overseeding for thickening: 3-5 g/m² every 3-4 years after slight scarification. Bloom in late spring-early summer.
️Warnings: Keep the soil moist during germination and avoid waterlogging. Store in a dark, dry place, out of reach of children under 3 years.
