Violent Femmes

Product Description

The 1983 debut that defined acoustic punk rebellion, Violent Femmes, returns on 180g vinyl, 10 tracks of teenage angst and minimalist genius. Gordon Gano’s nasal howl (“Blister in the Sun,” “Add It Up”) over Brian Ritchie’s upright bass and Victor DeLorenzo’s snare-drum kit created a blueprint for alt-folk fury. Recorded in a day, it’s raw, horny, and hilarious, selling over a million despite zero radio play. The Craft Recordings reissue includes bonus live cuts and a booklet of Gano’s lyrics. A coming-of-age classic for every misfit. Runtime: ~36 minutes (standard).
