A waterproof cover (PUL or wool, sold separately) worn over it is required to keep moisture off pajamas and bedding. Because the hemp-cotton core holds a large volume of moisture, it is normal for the diaper to feel fully soaked - a reliable cover is what keeps that moisture contained.
- No bamboo rayon, no polyester lining, no synthetic layers anywhere: the layer against your baby's skin is the same 55% hemp / 45% cotton blend that does the absorbing, worth choosing if you are avoiding synthetic materials or troubleshooting a rash that flares up with synthetic linings.
- Two snap-in inserts let you customize absorbency for your baby's needs: use one insert for lighter overnight wetters or daytime naps at daycare, or both for heavy wetters and longer sleep stretches. The snap system holds inserts firmly in place so they will not bunch or shift overnight.
