About this item
- A Small Shagreen-Texture Cachepot in True Enamel: This window planter is the Shagreen pattern in the small size — a textured, tonal blue-and-white design in a genuine enamel finish with a polished gold trim, on a square metal form sized for a windowsill. Drop a small grower pot straight inside for a decorative object with the enamel finish the ultra-premium brands are known for
- True Enamel, Not Painted Plastic: The body is enamelled metal — a hard, glossy, non-porous surface, not matte paint or thin plastic. Hand-painted in a studio that has worked this way since 1987, the shagreen texture carries brush-level variation a mass-produced pot cannot reproduce, and it wipes clean with a damp cloth
- Holds a Small 4-Inch Grower Pot for Indoor Plants: This 4 inch planter port is perfectly sized for a standard grower pot holding a succulent, a small cactus, an African violet, or a starter herb on a windowsill. The plant stays in its own pot inside, so you water on your own schedule; no drainage hole to manage on the finished surface
- Windowsill, Desk, Vanity, or Nursery — and It Coordinates: The small shagreen suits a kitchen windowsill or a refined desk, and it comes in a larger 6-inch size too — group the two for a graduated set. It is part of the wider Shagreen collection
- A Small Refined Gift: An enamelled shagreen-texture cachepot is a distinctive small gift for a plant lover or a design-led home — right for housewarmings, hostess thank-yous, and holidays. It is made by Jaye's Studio, a second-generation family studio hand-painting enamelled metal decor since 1987
Product Description
Shagreen — the textured, tonal finish once used on fine cabinetry — is an unusual reference for a windowsill pot, and in true enamel it works. The small Shagreen is genuinely enamelled metal, a hard, glossy, non-porous surface — the McKenzie-Childs signature — in a tonal blue-and-white texture with a polished gold trim. Drop a small grower pot straight inside, and a windowsill herb becomes a refined object. One plain note on the trim: the gold is bright — a polished metallic against the enamel, not an antique wash.
